Bauhinia Flower - Original Watercolor

Study of a Bauhinia ombrophilia, commonly known as the orchid tree. This species is from Madagascar and is very rare, with only a handful of specimens being grown in the United States. While the common name for Bauhinia is Orchid Tree, they are actually in the Pea (or Fabaceae) family.
