Tradescantieae Species Print

This print features twenty-four watercolor illustrations of species and cultivars from the Tradescantieae tribe, part of the Commelinaceae family. This group of plants is commonly known as Spiderworts. These plants are love as houseplants for their ease of care, and are also commonly grown as landscape plants for their colorful foliage and dainty flowers.

Each variety featured on this print was originally painted in watercolor, using plants in my own collection as well as photos of plants I’ve seen growing here in Florida as my primary sources of reference.
